"LEGS ELEVEN "

"The New Invincibles' debut album celebrates and practises everything that is good, honourable about the garage arts. This album rocks, seriously, with plenty of fun." Patrick Emery, PBS 106.7FM, March 2005. Read more...
"Legs Eleven is a Frankenstein monster of 60's garage organ, 80's buzz saw guitars and crazed and dislocated vocal howls, all unleashed in unwiedy but glorious garage rock fashion. In-the-red from the opening note to the final crash of the keys, the Perth four-piece bear the torch of The Sonics and Radio Birdman admirably with 30 minutes of swagger and strychnine" Carl Snatch, "Time Off" Magazine - Brisbane, Qld, March 2005.
"Somewhere along the journey they decided to ignore what is going on in the rest of the world and just concentrate on their own particular passions, part of the reason that they're such a great band. One cannot help but feel that despite their own best efforts someone influential is going to relise just how good these guys are, offer them a heap of money and bugger the whole thing up" "....there is an oddness and purity here that's glorious. Long may they do what they do." Paul McCarthy, "Groove" Magazine - Perth WA, March 2005.
"........ a damn fine rock and roll record, with fuzz and Leslie'd Hammond organ applied. The Barman, "I94 Bar"- December 2005. Read more...
"Sonically supercharged garagefuzz that belongs somewhere between 60s psych and Detroit's classic rock'n'roll sound. The lethal mix of shitraw geetars, hammond organ, punk attitude and catchy uptempo tunes is truly awesome. Man, the 2 first tracks, ”Fist” and ”Teargas”, totally grabbed my testicles and squeezed'em like Olga with a bad case of PMS. And lo and behold the nut grip continued all through the 12 (that's a hidden track) tunes. OUCH! Damn Aussie cavemen. One of the best releases from Off The Hip I've ever heard. " Jens, "Lowcut" Magazine #31 - February 2006. Read more... |
